Hi There!
I’m Gwen; a freelance creative from Staffordshire, UK.
I love quilting… and by that I mean; I love thinking about quilts, talking about quilts, planning quilts, buying fabric for quilts – but actually finishing them? That’s where things get complicated.
You know that “I’ve got a million exciting ideas but zero finished projects” experience? Well that’s my entire life. Living with ADHD, and regular struggles with depression, mean my ‘getting stuff done‘ power is a little temperamental.
This website is my attempt change things; to take control of the creative chaos in my brain and turn it into something real – and hopefully, something meaningful. A place to share the mess, the mistakes, the rare moments of actually finishing things, and everything I learn along the way.
My aim is to create a supportive space filled with ideas, inspiration and encouragement for those of us who sometimes need a little help finding their way, (or anyone who’s just looking for a good excuse to play with some pretty fabric).
What you'll find here (one day)
- Tips & techniques about quilting and creativity
- My adventures (and misadventures) in crafting
- Resources & patterns for fellow fabric hoarders
- A space where the mantra is most definitely “progress not perfection”
If you’re also struggling with ADHD, depression, or just generally feel like the “magic motivation” fairy skipped your house, you’re in good company. This website is for anyone who’s tired of waiting for the “perfect moment” to start creating and is ready to embrace the messy, meandering path of creativity—no matter how many half-finished projects are involved.
Thanks for being here! Seriously, it means more than you know xx
